HOW DID YOU GET INTO TRAVEL?

“We initially started Joe & Seph’s from the kitchen table, so we really didn’t have any insight into the opportunity within travel—we were solely focused on getting from the kitchen table into retail. Heerum (Founder of TickEat) came across our stand at the LUNCH trade show in 2012 and suggested some changes to the packaging we had designed for retail, which would make the product perfect for airlines. That was when we began to understand the potential of the airline and wider travel sector. From that point, we became much more serious about it and started redesigning the packaging and creating products specifically for this sector." ” - Joe & Seph's

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST LISTING AND WHEN?

“Our first listing was with British Airways in March of 2014 with our Salted Caramel Popcorn." - Joe & Seph's

HOW DID TICKEAT HELP YOU GET INTO TRAVEL?

“Back when Heerum (Founder of TickEat) was a gategourmet buyer she helped coach us as far as what we needed to do to our packaging to make it the right size, shape, and design, pricing etc. to be perfect for British Airways in their club kitchen at the time. Without this guidance, we wouldn’t have had a clue about what we were doing and probably would’ve created the wrong product and pricing. We also attend TickEat events to meet and form relationships with new and existing buyers.” - Joe & Seph's

WHAT TICKEAT EVENTS DID YOU ATTEND AND WHAT DID YOU GET OUT OF THEM?

We attended the Meet the Buyer events which are a great opportunity to meet lots of buyers in an informal setting the night before at the dinner and then at a more formal setting the following day on a one-to-one basis presenting the products. It is a great opportunity to build relationships and get feedback on new products in particular.” - Joe & Seph's

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND TICKEAT TO BRANDS LOOKING TO BREAK INTO THE TRAVEL SECTOR?

“Yes, I'd recommend TickEat. They hold a wealth of knowledge gained from many years of work in the travel sector. They also have strong relationships with numerous travel buyers. All of this combined creates the right environment for brands to get everything they need from one organisation to succeed in the travel industry.” - Joe & Seph's
